Salads are my go to side. When making dinner if I need to bulk out the meal or make it a bit healthier, I turn to salad. The latter was the case for this goat cheese and pear salad.
I recently made veggie sausage rolls. The sausage rolls themselves actually weren’t that unhealthy, but whenever I make something with pastry in it my mind seems to automatically put that in the naughty food bin.
This salad is super simple. Gather your ingredients.
Chop the pear.
Into a bowl add the lettuce, pear and crumbled goat chevre. Finish by drizzling over a smidge of olive oil.
As mentioned earlier, this salad was made to accompany veggie sausage rolls, which were also served with a side of mash potato and homemade chutney.
Ingredients: mixed lettuce, goat chevre, pear, olive oil
Equipment: knife, chopping board
- Chop the lettuce and pear, then place into a bowl
- Top with crumbled goats chevre and a drizzle of olive oil.
