Pizza Week: Veggie Pizza

Pizza Week continues with Simone’s veggie pizza. Simone is my housemate and is very passionate about food and cooking. She loves Italian food, but amusingly her less is more approach to pizza went by the wayside after a few glasses of wine.

Simone’s pizza was topped with artichoke hearts, baby spinach, basil, mushrooms, shredded mozzarella, fresh mozzarella and olives.

It was a very tasty pizza!

Pizza making tip – put a thin layer of cheese on your pizza once you have spread the tomato paste. This will help to keep the other ingredients in place when you’re eating.

Pizza tip: add a thin layer of cheese after the tomato paste

Ingredients: pizza base, tomato paste, artichoke hearts, baby spinach, basil, mushrooms, shredded mozzarella, fresh mozzarella and olives.

Equipment: chopping board, knife, oven tray, oven

Steps:

  1. Spread the pizza base with tomato paste and shredded mozzarella
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients to the pizza
  3. Bake at 170 degrees Celsius until golden.
